John Kane Restorations, now located for the past 7 years in Bedford, PA, had its beginnings in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in the early 80's. Then known as JJJ Enterprises, the shop restored all types of antique and classic vehicles including early T-Birds, Mustangs, Shelbys, Austin Healeys, Ferraris, Pontiacs, Chevelles and many more marques.
Back then, John did the restorations and Jackie ran a GTO parts business selling nationally and even to some foreign visitors. Good used parts became scarce and the two concentrated on the restoration of Pontiac GTOs.
The shop now restores Pontiacs exclusively; primarily GTOs and many are their own cars.
The whole key to good restoration is an organized plan: evaluation of parts disassembled; good sources for parts needing to be replaced or refurbished; and good follow-through with each project.
The latest addition to the shop is a high-class engine building facility with 2 master engine builders having a combined experience of 90 years; one having been with Pontiac for many years including those during the GTO heyday.
Over the years, JKR has completed at least 80 show-winning GTOs, including more than 14 RAIV cars. With all this experience, now JKR is geared toward purchasing high quality GTOs for restoration and/or resale of the very best to the most discriminating buyers.
Among current projects are 4 RAIV cars and the recreation of Arnie Beswick's Righteous Judge race car, which he raced for a few years in the early 70's.
